Geordie comedian Gary Colman is an “experienced gag-smith with a sharp eye for the absurdities of family life” (Evening Standard). Not the world’s worst ‘Diff’rent Stroke’s’ tribute act. His cute heart-warming comedy about the disembowelling banality of family life, that has been described as ‘high-energy dead-pan’ and ‘joyful misery’ has won him many fans including GQ Magazine who described him as “Fearlessly funny… The best deadpan act since Jack Dee”. Gary burst onto the comedy scene in 2009 as a finalist in 3 national comedy awards; New Act of the Year, Jongleurs’ New Comedian of The Year and Soho Theatres Future of TV Comedy. His first show at the Edinburgh Festival was a sell-out success and brought 5-star reviews. Gary performs at all the major comedy clubs and festivals, in theatres, rooms above pubs, and a cow-shed (once). He is a popular MC and is the current resident MC of both Electric Mouse Comedy and the legendary Fortnight Comedy Club where he has introduced audiences to the brand-new material of Alan Carr, Jack Whitehall, Josh Widdecombe, Sara Pascoe, Milton Jones, Zoe Lyons and Rob Beckett amongst others. As a writer-performer he is a performed playright, has script-edited for an Oscar winning producer, has a feature film project in development and was recently in LA for the recording of a pilot of his new comedy panel show ‘Dorks n Orks’.
